Robert J. Schwing, Jr.
Passed away on July 31, 2021
ROBERT JOSEPH SCHWING, JR.
Rob courageously fought cancer until he was called home to Heaven on Saturday, July 31. He leaves behind Peg (Ewald), his wife of 33 years, son Jeffrey (Meagan Lairsey), daughter Sarah (Awais Hussain), and grandsons John Robert and Jackson Lee. Rob is the son of Margaret (Rector) and the late Robert Schwing of West Chester, OH, and brother to Barbara. He has many beloved sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rob is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Marilyn and Bill Bradley of Cincinnati, OH.
Those who knew him will remember his willingness to help anyone in need, stories of world travel, sense of humor, high expectations of himself and others, deep faith, and devotion to his family.
Rob’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021, in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Savannah, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
