Robert Joseph Pittman, Sr.

Robert Joseph Pittman Sr. 85, of Springfield GA, passed away in his home on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

Robert was survived in death by his wife, Mary Carolyn Pittman; grandson, David Pittman, and wife, Amanda Pittman; great-grandchildren; Abigail Pittman, Johnnie Wright, and Aidan Wright, as well as two sisters, Kathy Digiovanni and husband, David, and Janie Lickens.

Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert Joseph Pittman Jr; two granddaughters, Kimberly Ann, and Mary Ellen Pittman, as well as his brother, Harry Johnson.

Robert Sr. was very devoted to his family, he put them first above all. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed bowling in his younger years. He was Chief City Electrical Inspector for the City of Savannah for many years. He will be dearly missed by family and friends, and all that knew him.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2021, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Greenwich Cemetery.
