Barbara Ann Burns passed away July 20, 2021 at Hospice Savannah with her family by her side.
Barbara was a strong, beautiful woman who fought to the end. She was a loving, giving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a true friend to all who knew her.
Barbara was born April 24, 1929 to Roy W. and Joanna Raff Hooe in Washington, DC.
Barbara was a long standing and active member of Savannah Moose Lodge 1550.
Barbara was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles Burns Jr, son, Charles Roy Burns, her mother and father, brothers James and Butchie Hooe and her sister, Mary Burke.
Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl Beasley (Rooster) and Marsha Hunt (Robbie Hodges), a son, Michael Burns and sister Linda Hunt (Donnie), six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at Dean Forest Baptist Church, 1524 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, GA 31408 on Saturday, August 14, 2021 @ 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you consider a donation in Barbara’s memory to Hospice Savannah, P. O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA. 31416.
