Margaret “Peggy” Perryman Thompson died on July 12 at Hospice in Savannah,

Peggy was born July 23,1938 in Newnan,Ga to John M. and Virginia B. Perryman. She attended Randolph Macon College and graduated from the University of Georgia where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.

She was an active member of the Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church and was awarded the Presbyterian Woman’s Honorary Life Membership Award in 2012. Peggy was also an avid tennis player and volunteer in every community where she lived.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Arthur C. “Neally” Thompson.

She is survived by her two sons; Chris (Ginger) Thompson of Rincon GA, and John (Julie)Thompson of Ennis, MT, and her grandchildren Austin and Anna Thompson of Rincon, GA, and her brother John M. (Judy) Perryman of Troy, MI and nephew John M. Perryman III and niece Sara V. Perryman.

A service will be held on Thursday, July 15 2021 at 10:00 am at Skidaway Island Community Church. A graveside service will be on Friday, July 16, 2021 in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan, GA.
