Justin Patrick Wentzel, 32, formerly of Savannah, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on Thursday, July 1st, 2021, in Wilmington, North Carolina. 

Justin was born on April 24, 1989 in Savannah, GA to the late Walter Paul Jr. and Patricia Darlene (Davis) Wentzel. After the untimely deaths of his parents, he was lovingly adopted and raised by his aunt and uncle, Franklin and Marjorie (Davis) Forbes. 

Justin had many talents in this life. A skilled natural athlete, he enjoyed staying active and in his youth, he excelled in baseball and wrestling. Justin had an extremely strong work ethic and was skilled in many trades to include welding, electrical work, construction, painting, and drywall. A friend to many, Justin had a heart of gold and would do anything to help someone in need. He loved and was loved by his family very deeply, and they will cherish his memory always. 

Justin was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Darlene and his sister, Dena. He is survived by his brother, Matthew (Megan) Wentzel and adoptive parents Franklin (Barbara) Forbes, Marjorie (John) Neidlinger. He is also survived by several other loving siblings Jake (Robyn) Forbes, Joseph (Sonya) McLaughlin, Mary Kathryn (Justin) Faircloth, Emily Kirk, and Julie (Coulter) Anderson. He has many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles who love him dearly and will mourn his loss.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 12:00 pm until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10th, 2021 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The visitation will be followed by a graveside service of the Catholic faith at 3:00 p.m. at Greenwich Cemetery, where Justin will be laid to rest alongside his loving parents.
