Newton Thompson “Tommy” Brock, Jr. 47, died June 15, 2021 at his home.   Tommy was born in Savannah and attended church and school at Bible Baptist Church as well as Jenkins High School.  He was a member of the U.S. Army attached to the 175th Ranger Battalion at Hunter Army Airfield as well as being certified in Water Treatment at Fort Lee, VA.  Tommy was also a certified motorcycle mechanic.

Tommy was a very talented musician who played piano, trumpet and guitar with many musicians across the country.  Tommy was the essence of Savannah and a vibrant and well-known character who was loved by all who met him.

Tommy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Seaborne Brock and Mary Brock as well as his father, Newton Thompson Brock, Sr.

Surviving are his chosen mother that raised him and took care of him for many years, Aunt Betty Samantha Jackson of Arab, AL; son, Cody Bradly of Columbia, New Jersey; daughter, Elizabeth Brock of Savannah; sister, Becky Brock Sepulveres of Orlando, FL;  mother, Judy Gaines Cason of Alabama; nieces, Mikaylah Bierbrodt, Marissa Bierbrodt, Molly Bierbrodt, Lola Sepulveres, and his beloved dog, “Gunner”.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with Pastor Herbert Hubbard officiating.
