Mary M. Dorsey

Mary McGoldrick Dorsey, 67, died in Savannah, GA on June 18, 2021.  She was a native Savannahian, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas A. McGoldrick, who preceded her in death.  For 33 years, she was married to James Chancellor Dorsey, who also preceded her in death.

She graduated from Marymount University in Virginia, received a BMS from the Medical College of Georgia, and a Master’s in Nursing at George Mason University in Virginia.  For several years, she worked in the Oncology unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and as a Nurse Practitioner, she worked for several years in Alexandria, VA.

She is survived by her siblings: Thomas A. McGoldrick (Molly), Stephen D. McGoldrick, Dahlis Kevin McGoldrick, Monica McGoldrick, Lawrence S. McGoldrick (Karen), and Graham A. McGoldrick, her nephew, Thomas, and two nieces, Molly and Christy.  

The family will hold a private gathering in Savannah to remember her.  She will be buried at the Veterans Cemetery in Quantico, VA, next to her beloved husband.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Joseph’s/Candler Foundation, 5353 Reynolds Street, Savannah, GA 31405.
