Celebrating the life of

Timothy Joseph Hunter

March 10, 1966 - April 24, 2021

Timothy Joseph Hunter

Timothy Joseph Hunter, age 55, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on April 24, 2021, after a long struggle with Factor V Leiden, a blood clotting disorder. Tim will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend Tanya Hunter, as well as his sons Michael Hunter and Alexander (Juanita) Hunter, his grandchildren Jenna, Elisha, and Jayel Hunter, his sister Kimberly (Victor) Hale, brother Matthew (Donna) Hunter, extended family and numerous friends.

Tim was born in Massachusetts March 10, 1966. He received his degree in Criminal Justice and served 8 years in the US Army JAG Corps. Tim later moved to Savannah, GA where he married Tanya in 1999. He had a passion for metal detecting and history, along with a love for cooking. He never knew a stranger and enjoyed talking to people. Tim had a strong faith in the Lord and a servant’s heart. He loved to volunteer and was very active in his church.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church, 4700 Skidaway Road, Savannah, Georgia.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the American Blood Clot Association ( www.bloodclot.org).

GUEST BOOK

Love ya'll. Call me if you need anything

- John Prince, Savannah, GA

Tim was a friend that we could always count on to make us laugh. He was a man of great knowledge and I was always amazed by the trivia he remember. Our love and prayers will continue to go out for Tanya, Michael and the rest of the Hunter family. You will be missed my friend, but I'm so thankful I will get to see you one day in Heaven. With much love, Ricky and Barbara

- Barbara and Ricky Paul, Rincon, Ga

I always heard about Tim from his sister, Kimberly. The first time I met him, he was cooking breakfast at her house. I feel deeply connected through the stories Kimberly has always told. The Lord has put your family heavy on my heart. We grieve with you and pray for you. May God bring a comfort and healing that only He can bring.

- Jaime and Kevin VanMatre, Jacksonville, Florida

Tanya and Michael, I am so glad I got to know your family; I learned so much about life from Tim and both of you. "Live each day as if it were your last!" I do believe that was his mantra. He had such a wonderful testimony, and I will never forget him. Heaven is a little sweeter today.

- Kathy Hodges, Savannah, GA

Tanya, Michael, Alexander, and the entire Hunter family, My heart breaks for you with the loss of Tim. Tim and I were classmates at Georgetown High School and we were able to perform together in the Senior Class play. He always made me laugh and his smile could light up a room. He is with his Lord and Saviour and he will watch over all of us. Karin

- Karin Swier Wilmarth, Georgetown, MA

We wish we could be there. Great friend, a great example, great family. Our love, prayers and deepest sympathy.

- Dwight & Patti Durbin, Decatur, IL

Dear Tanya Michael and rest of family, Tim was such a blessing to our family. He was always wanting to help in anyway he could. Such a servants heart. What a wonderful day that will be when we are all reunited. John loved him dearly and now they are together praising the Lord.

- Jean Tatum, Savannah, Ga

Tim was a truly influential man in my life. He taught me life lessons that still stick to me this day. He could talk about anything to anyone and was always so full of life and jokes. Time opened up many opportunities for me to let loose and have some fun. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him personally.

- Theophilus Doan, Savannah, ga
