Celebrating the life of

William John "Bill" Hall

October 13, 1932 - July 02, 2018

William John

William John “Bill” Hall, Sr., passed away on July 2, 2018, at 85 years of age. He was born on October 13, 1932, in Savannah, Georgia. A graduate of Savannah High School, Bill served in the United States Air Force Reserves during the Korean conflict, and he later graduated from Auburn University in 1956 with a degree in construction engineering. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Savannah.

In 1958, Bill married the love of his life Joan Saseen, and they had four sons. In 1959, Bill began his career as a homebuilder and developer in the Savannah area with his lifelong friends Troy Bouy and Harry Howard. For more than 45 years, Bouy, Hall, and Howard Homes built and developed many communities throughout the low country, and he passed that love of building and his knowledge onto his sons who continue that same work today.

Those who knew Bill knew well that the true love of his life was his wife, Joan, to whom he was happily married for 54 years. The most important thing to Bill was his family and friends, and his happiest days were spent in Bluffton with his friends and loved ones fishing and boating on the May River.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Saseen Hall, and his son, Thomas Christopher Hall. Bill is survived by three sons: William John “Billy” Hall, Jr., Stephen Raymond Hall and his wife, Sally, and Gregory Mark Hall. Bill is also survived by his six grandchildren: Cory Hall, Sarah Hall, William Hall, III, Cooper Hall, Rivers Hall, and Sassy Hall.

Visitation with the family will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel, on Highway 80 East, immediately followed by the funeral service at noon. Burial will be private.

Donations in lieu of flowers should be made to Habitat for Humanity.

I'm sorry for your loss. Death is very painful to all of us. However Jehovah is the supreme comforter and offers it through his word The Bible. 1corinthians 15:26 brings comfort in knowing that soon God's kingdom will put an end to death. I hope this scripture and many like it help you to endure this difficult time.
