- Tim and Kathy McCord, Macon, Ga

To the Shiflett Family: Mike and I are thinking about you at this sad time. I have fond memories of Pepe as a fourth-grade student in my classroom at McKibben-Lane. I remember Pepe's positive attitude, her warm smile, her creativity, and her intellect. She was definitely a gifted writer, who was unafraid to use her imagination. In fact, she and many of her classmates wrote the most wonderful, interesting, and creative pieces. The thing I remember most was that she truly enjoyed writing and was always willing to share her expertise with others. I am so thankful that I was given the opportunity to teach her and collaborate with her as she was learning the craft of writing. May the memories of Pepe's kind spirit and the love she demonstrated to others comfort and sustain you during this challenging time. Love, Mike and Mae Sheftall Macon, Georgia

We are privileged to have been her neighbor and witnessed how she loved her family on a daily basis. God Bless your family.
