Thomas Edward Clark

Mr. Thomas Edward Clark passed away after a long illness on Saturday, April 3, 2021.  He was 91 years of age.

A native Savannahian, Mr. Clark was born to John Raleigh Clark and Nellie Womack Clark.  He was a graduate of Savannah High School and attended Armstrong College.  Mr. Clark served honorably in the United States Navy and retired from the United States Navy Reserve at the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

Mr. Clark is preceded in death by Mrs. Elizabeth Lucille Irish Clark, his wife of 68 years.  He is survived by his son John Steffens Clark, his daughter-in-law Sarah-Martha Todd Clark, and his niece Stephanie Leigh Irish, all of Savannah; his nephew Roland Tee Irish III of Columbia, South Carolina, and three sisters:  Deborah Clark Lanier of Fort Pierce, Florida, Frances Clark Mustakas of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Virginia Clark Yarber of Statesboro, Georgia.  He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Thomas Edward Clark was a patriot and a gentleman.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, a private interment service will take place in Greenwich Cemetery.
