So many fond memories of Jay assisting the choir on the Timpani. My favorite was the Good Friday service when the passage was read that the veil was torn down after Jesus' death... Jay used the Timpani to make a loud noise, that went on for a minute+.... when he finished, the sound echoed through the church until if finally died out. One of the most moving services I've attended. He will be missed.
