Charles (Gabby) Heffernan
January 01, 1943 - March 17, 2021
Charles "Gabby" Heffernan of Savannah Ga. died unexpectedly on March 17th 2021.
Born 01/01/1943 "Gabby" was a previous resident of Manlius, NY where he was Post Commander of the American Legion #141 from 1988 - 1993. He also worked as a mechanic at the Syracuse University Physical Plant for a number of years before moving down to Georgia. He was a lifelong Elks member and very active in the organization.
Charles was [redeceased by his parents, Frank and Lena Heffernan; brothers, John, William, and Malcolm Heffernan; sisters, Joan Hand, Blanche Waite, and Elinor Hughes.
Charles is survived by his lifelong partner, Geraldine "Gerry" Spina; son, Michael Heffernan of Troy, NY; daughter, Ann Heffernan of Manlius, NY; sister, Lenora Bobbette of Fabius, NY; and granddaughters, Madison and Keara Heffernan.
No services or viewing will be held in Savannah but a memorial service will be held at a later date in NY.
Gabbie was my uncle, my Dad, John's, younger brother and my last living uncle.I send my prayers and thoughts.God Bless

I remember fondly spending time with Uncle Gabby & Aunt Joan at the Legion in Manlius during holiday parades as well as family get togethers at my grandparents (Fred & Blanche Waite). You will be missed ❤
