Ms. Deloise Spriggs Gaines, age 92, died March 15, 2021 (her birthday). She was a native of Cleveland, Tennessee, lived in northern Illinois for most of her life, and had lived in Savannah for a number of years. She was a retired Civil Service claims adjustor for the United States Army.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gaines, Jr., and is survived by her daughter, Brenda Gaines; and others.
A private family service was held.

Brenda, Your mom was one of my favorite friends, and while we worked together in the Judge Advocate Office at Ft Sheridan, she was a true mentor to me.
