Celebrating the life of

John David Wolf, Jr.

August 21, 1969 - March 09, 2021

John David Wolf, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of John David Wolf Jr.,51, announce his death on March 9, 2021 at his home in Wilmington Island, Savannah, Georgia.

He was born on August 21, 1969 in Sao Paulo, Brazil and grew up in Akron, Ohio where he attended Akron Public Schools, the College of Wooster and graduated from The University of Akron. He moved to Atlanta in 1993, where he began a long, successful career in software and technology. His career soon took him to Savannah in 1997, where he worked for Integrated Data Systems and later Ligos Corporation. Dave met Meghan Fanning in 1999 and married in a beautiful ceremony at the Jekyll Island Club in 2004. In 2009 he and Meghan became proud parents to beautiful twins Max and Evie. They are his greatest loves.

He gained much joy in life from pursuing his love of photography, art, music, fishing, architecture, technology, and travel. Above all he thrived in constantly learning and having new experiences. He adored being on the water and taking flying lessons to pursue a private pilot's license. Dave enjoyed sharing his passions and sense of adventure with his family and friends through his photography and expressive prose. He loved nothing more than sharing a deep belly laugh with friends. Dave will be greatly missed and will not be defined by his best day or his worst day but the sum of all his days.

Preceded in death by his father, John David Wolf Sr., and survived by his wife of seventeen years, Meghan Fanning Wolf, twins Max and Evie, mother, Lois Stinaff Wolf, and sister, Tracy Elizabeth Wolf Walker (Alan Walker).

A Memorial Celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a trust account for Max and Evie will be established. Information will be provided when available.
