Mildred Laverne Carr Hill, 75, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

She was born in Eastman, GA to John Albert and Dorothy Dykes Carr. She was a Fraud Analysis/consultant for Mobil Credit Corporation and was owner of the Art Gallery by the Sea on Tybee Island.

She was a member of Faubion United Methodist Church in Gladstone, MO and the Tybee Art Association. Her hobbies included stained glass, traveling, and spoiling her grandchildren and family and walking on the beach.

Surviving are her husband, John Hill of Savannah; children, Kimberly Andrus (Brian) of Kansas City, MO, John Hill, Jr. of North Carolina;  grandchildren, Lucas (Kimberly), Madison, Bailey Andrus of Kansas City, MO, Shelby Hill of England; great-grandchildren, Peyton Lilly Baines, Kinsley Rose Andrus; brothers, John (Janice) Carr of Atlanta, GA, Gary Carr of Waycross, GA, David (Beth) Carr of Eastman, GA; sisters, Abbilene Carr of Eastman, GA, Gail (W.C.) Ford of Eastman, GA, Yvonne (Mitchell) Brown of Eastman, GA;  Sister-in-law, Mary Fiste of St. Joseph, MO, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Tybee Island. You may access the beach at the North Beach Grill.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made to Tybee Arts Association, PO Box 2344, Tybee Island, GA 31218.
