Joan Forrester Christian, 89, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Memorial University Medical Center. Her son Tony was by her side.

The Philadelphia, PA native was born on February 12, 1932 to the late Marvin S. and Henrietta Forrester. Joan was married the late Joseph Gorham Christian for more than 38 years and was a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital for more than 21 years.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Forrester Hebert, and brother, Marvin Philip Forrester. 

 In addition to her son Tony, Joan leaves behind a sister, Rita Spence of Prattville, AL. 

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in Bonaventure Cemetery
