Katrina "Kay" Faye Karr

Katrina Faye Karr, 76, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 23, 2021. 

Katrina, known by family and friends as “Kay”, was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. She was the seventh of nine children born to William and Grace Lindsay. In the mid 1960’s Kay, along with her mother and most of her brothers and sisters, moved to the Savannah area to start a new life.

She would eventually retire in 1996 from AT&T where she had worked as a long distance telephone operator, beginning with Southern Bell in the 1970’s. She was a popular and beloved co-worker to her fellow group of dedicated operators. 

Kay leaves behind her son, Lee Karr of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Connie Brown and brother-in-law Ronny Brown of Pt. Wentworth; sister, Ann Burton of Brunswick; brother, Gary Lindsay of Witchita Falls, TX; sister-in-law, Judy Lindsay of Richmond Hill; nieces Kiley Sheppard and Amanda Love of Richmond Hill; niece, Lara Lauric-Davis of Yulee, FL; and many more nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends. 

Visitation will be from 4:00  p.m until  6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 26, 2021 in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
