Celebrating the life of

Gary Glenn Parks

Passed away on January 31, 2021

Gary Glenn Parks

Gary Glenn Parks died peacefully on Sunday, January 31st, 2021.  Gary was the son of Roosevelt and Louise Parks and was born in Gastonia, NC.  Gary graduated from Ashley High School in Gastonia and attended Pfeiffer College.  His passion was automobile sales, an industry to which he dedicated his entire professional career.  Gary built a loyal customer base through his dedication, hard work, and no-frills approach to car sales, starting at Piedmont Motors in Gastonia and ending with his retirement from Critz Buick GMC in Savannah, GA.

Gary was a member of the German Friendly Society and the Lutheran Church of the Ascension, where he sang in the choir and was a member of the handbell choir.  He served on the worship committee, trained the acolytes and crucifers, and loved working with the youth at the church.  Gary was an avid golfer, music lover, and enjoyed spending time out on the water.

Gary is survived by his wife, Page, their daughter and son-in-law Katie and Carter Mayville and their children; daughters, Allison, Melissa, and Kimberly and their families; his sister, Kathryn, and brother Lee; as well as other extended family members.

If you would like to make a memorial contribution in Gary’s name, a donation may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Ascension – Youth Fund online at www.ascensionsavannah.org or by check to the Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 120 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
