Jerry was a great crime scene investigator, who later shared his knowledge with the law enforcement and Coroners throughout the state and area. Condolences to family and friends.

- David H Exley, Springfield, GA

I had the great pleasure of sharing the IPTM classroom teaching crime scene investigation courses with Jerry Findley for the last 24 years. We travelled throughout the country training thousands of LEO Investigators, together in that time frame. His gift was simplicity and sincerity, “teaching people to fish”, making sure they understood, practically, the often complex fundamentals of bloodstain pattern interpretation and crime scene reconstruction. He was a friend to all, he was my friend, Brother In Christ, and a solid classroom mentor! The earth is a little dimmer with his parting...thank you Judy and Family for sharing him with so many over the years!

- Donnie and Becky , Jacksonville, FL

Chris and Judy and family, Your family is in our prayers at this time. May your special memories with your father and husband bring you joy and comfort now and in the future. Psalm 46: 1-2  “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.”

- Matheson Family, Apple Valley , California

I was lucky enough to be able to take all of the bloodstain and reconstruction courses Jerry taught at IPTM. I was also extremely privileged to have taught alongside him during his bloodstain course. We had an ongoing joke that he was my "blood-father". I will miss him very much and can't thank him enough for all of the knowledge he bestowed. He was an amazing man and I am better for knowing him.

- Erin (Thompson) Morris, Jacksonville , Florida

I am very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I have been wondering how he was doing. Judy, you and all the family are in my prayers. Not only was Jerry my instructor for many years, I considered you both very good friends and really enjoyed visiting you in your home. Just know I am thinking of you.

- Ted Bearden, Dawsonville, Georgia

Jerry was my very first bloodstain pattern analysis instructor back in 2001. I will never forget how kind he was to me as I asked him a million questions in that course and all the other courses I took with him. Training under him was an honor and to this day I still follow many of the procedures and suggestions he shared with me. The contributions he made to bloodstain pattern analysis will never be forgotten and many families got justice because of the great work he did! RIP Jerry. You will be missed!

- Anna Cox, Florida

I am sorry to learn of Jerry’s death. I wish I would have known sooner. Jerry was my mentor. He sponsored me in the International Association of Identification (IAI) in order for me to get my certification as a Crime Scene Analyst. Jerry was so talented in that field. I was just now thinking of Jerry and Judy and did a quick Google search in the hope of reaching out when I found the obituary. Our hearts go out to Judy and the rest of the family! Greg and I loved Jerry and Judy so much! Being in choir with them brought us so much love and laughter. I remember the first time I really spoke to Jerry, telling him how much he resembled a guy I had seen on a cold case show. He laughed that wonderful laugh and said it had actually been him! What a lovely singer Jerry was! He reminded us all of Jim Reeves. He had a heart for Jesus and he demonstrated it in his life. Greg and I will miss him in this life, but will see him again soon in the Next! Love, Sherrie and Greg

It was an honor yo know him. He taught me so much. He was and always will be a greatly respected and knowledgeable man. I use to take breaks at school and talk to him about what he has done and how he grew in the law enforcement community/family. I just found out that he passed away. My prayers are with the family still. He was a great man that loved his life and family so very much.
