John had a major influence on me as a recruit firefighter in 1971-72. The way he carried himself and performed his duties commanded respect and impressed me. He was smart, friendly and quick with a smile. I don't think there was anything he couldn't do. An exemplary firefighter and an exemplary man. Rest in peace brother.

We were saddened by the passing of John. He was a great neighbor and was always willing to help with projects around the house. Nathan and I know there is a new angel in heaven tonight and he will be meeting up with my angel in heaven, Ken. If Ken was still alive he would have been saddened by John's passing. Our prayers go out to you Mary and all the kids and grandkids. May God bless you.

He was at Station One on a different shift , but when I worked with him I could tell he was a person who new what he wanted out of life.
