Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark; For tho’ from out our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have cross’d the bar.

It happened so quickly with no time for goodbyes The wind blew in swiftly and darkened the skies As the winter snow falls, so do the tears For the delightful gentleman full of good cheers While forever memories brighten the day The endless love will continue to stay Forget for a moment that we are apart And cherish the memories that so touch the heart Love you Rog, Rest in Peace

So very sorry to hear the news. Roger and I were at SHS together and later he worked for my Father-In-Law, Curly Freyermuth at Atlantic Cement. Roger will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Even though I hadn't seen my (at one time) brother in law for 30+ years, he was very active on FB sharing a laugh or two with funky cool memes, retro photos and artsy pics. I'll remember him best for his AMAZING artistic ability, his laugh and unique personality. I'll miss him. RIP Rog~❤

Very sorry to hear about Roger's recent passing. Roger was in the 10th grade at Savannah High when I was a senior so we really had only one year together at SHS but he was one of a kind-- always fun to be around and really a good basketball player. I have lived in Atlanta for quite a few years and had lost touch with Roger but I will never forget him. RIP my friend. Tommy Bond, Atlanta, Ga.

Oh my goodness this was just too horrible. Roger was the nicest and most laid back man I’ve ever met. All of my love to Beryl and the children. I’m praying for the repose of his soul and strength and comfort for all.

I stumbled upon Roger's obit. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I don't even know where he lived. I miss Aunt Sarah and Uncle Milton's family. I travel through Georgia often. Prayers for Roger's family and also with Pat and Charlie and their families also. From your cousin Wendy.
