Larry Vernon Walden

Larry Vernon Walden, 71, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his residence.  He was born in Savannah, son of the late Charles W. and Thelma Canady. 

Mr. Walden was a roofer for many years and of the Christian faith.  He was an avid State of Georgia sports fan, especially the Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lennox Walden, sister, Betty Madelyn Beecher, brothers, Charles W. “Charlie” Walden and George Edward “Boozie” Walden.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

The graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

I'm very thankful to have had the pleasure of not only knowing him but taking care of him such a beautiful person sweet spirited and loving and caring person He would always show that he cared and appreciated me not only as a care taker but as a individual my heart is sad but I find comfort in knowing he is in a much better place Larry this is not goodbye but see u later and to the family I send a hug and so much love ❤❤

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. I had the privilege of knowing Larry before his wife Mary died. He was so sweet, so devoted and kind. I pray that he is finally at peace with the Lord.
