A candle has been lit!

My rowing friends and I looked forward to seeing him at the ARC boathouse on Monday mornings...he was very delightfully outspoken and we considered him a good rowing "buddy"--also such a big heart for people and for his dogs.

Dearest Dot, Lindsay and Ryan, I was so very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He had been on my mind a lot lately. I emailed a couple of times and never heard back and today, I just had a feeling. Jim was such a great friend. Canine Companions for Independence brought so many dear and wonderful people together, not to mention the dogs! I just really appreciated Jim, respected him on so many levels and was always so happy to see him and hear from him. Such a loss, such a kind and compassionate person. I am so grateful to have known him. May God bless him forever with all the wonderful people and dogs who waited for his arrival at the rainbow bridge. It was a happy day in heaven when he arrived. With love and friendship, Kathy Smith
