I am deeply saddened that Butch has died, especially in such a horrible accident, and extend my most sincere sympathy to Patricia and the entire family at this most difficult of times. He was a very close and special true friend to me, and we shared many great times over so many years at Tybee in our youth and in the past 13 years in retirement again on Tybee and savannah. Although we were separated by time and distance for a long while, we enjoyed so many quality times with old friends at Benedictine events and Tybee which leave me with countless warm memories never to be forgotten. Butch will be sorely missed by many of us, and all who passed his way. I know you are comforted in the sure and certain belief that He is with our Blessed Lord, and Mary Immaculate forever. With Love, Jack

Butch will be sorely missed by us and many, many others. I only knew Butch for the past 20 years when I returned to Savannah. He was among the most gracious people in my life. He introduced me to the Bacon Park Senior Blitz and we played together more than I can remember. As we too lived on Tybee, I visited with Butch and Pat not often enough. Butch was a wonderful guy and he’ll be well remembered in this community. Go with God, Butch.
