During his time on vacation, “GranDanny” told his children and grandchildren, “This is the best week of my life!” and expressed his love to all of them.

Danny was a well known community leader and a loving family man. A member of the Savannah St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, the Jaycees, the Boy Scouts, youth sports coach, and numerous organizations over his many years of service to the community. In his spare time he enjoyed boating, live music, family time, and Friday night family dinners.  Career awards included The New England Disability Income Specialist of the Year, Life Member of the Million Dollar Roundtable, CUNA Mutual Group Presidents Council, Lincoln Financial Circle of Excellence, Pacific Life Advisory Council to name a few.

“GranDanny” is survived by his children, Daniel and his wife Alexandra, Erin Mullis and husband Marty, Brenden, Andrew and his wife Stacie; grandchildren, Brennan, Asher, Atreiu, Campbell, Ryker, and Montana; the mother of his children, Cherise Bowman; his brothers and sisters, Edgar Charles and his wife Brinda, Karen, Pat and his wife Fran, Timmy and his wife Gisele, Martha and her husband Joe, Ginny and her husband Ron, and Tom and his wife Amy; his many cousins, nieces, nephews, and God Children; and the Live Wire Family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Dot Robertson.

Danny was one of the very first people to come to Memorial ICU when Roy was in critical condition. He was so kind as to bring a gift card for food. We had a great chat and it was such a beautiful and thoughful gift and sentiment. Although Roy didn't know, until afterward, we often talk about how Danny is such a kind and caring person. My heart breaks for his family and my wish for them is to find Peace in the beautiful memories and legacy he left. Safe home my friend. Martha and Roy Swindelle

A candle has been lit!

Words are useless to describe the sorrow and loss felt with the passing of our beloved friend Danny. We know he is now with his Father in heaven. He was simply a good man. He was so proud of all of you. He would light up with excitement when he talked about you all. He loved his family with all his heart. Even before you came into the world he wanted the very best for you all. Danny determinedly set about the business of providing the best he could for all of you with all his love. He had such a big heart. He enjoyed doing for others and gave freely and joyfully of his time. As we remember Danny, we think about what a big, warm and wonderful personality he had. We can see that huge smile on his friendly face. Always the optimist. Willing to help in any way. We love Danny and we love you all and pray God will continue to bless and keep you always. May your memories be as vivid as his love is for you all.
