Chris Anderson shared about Annette's recent passing. Please know we are all very sad for your loss. My precious mother passed away 8 yrs ago and my father (93) continues to lose many old friends. I know this is a hard time for all of you. I enjoyed visiting Annette at The Marshes several years ago when I had a meeting in Savannah. We had a nice time talking at her apartment and it was good to see her. I also went to see Betty Injaychock in Asheville at Givens Estates and now she too is gone. This is a difficult time for all of us. A lot of happy memories. Love and sincere condolences.

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of sweet Annette! She was a wonderful, talented, dynamic person and a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a close, loyal and loving friend to my parents and our family! I have so many fond memories of her throughout my life while living in Miami and on her visits to California. My mother, Sarah, Gene and I send our deepest sympathies to you all! Lots of love, Laney

Annette’s Dear Family, Andy and I are sending our best love and prayers for God’s peace at this time. Annette was an amazing woman who helped cultivate a tremendous family who loved the Lord. She has so many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of compassion and caring for others. I will always remember the “carpool” riding with Annette and Anne in Coral Gables and the special baby shower that she hosted with Anne for our first child, Daniel. Wish we could be there to hug you all. May God Bless you! Andy and Sue Steele

I was so saddened to read of the loss of your beautiful mother, Annette. My memories of our families, both in Miami and at Hound Ears, in North Carolina are strong and special. She was so beautiful, and her faith was so strong. I’m pretty sure I still have her little book; she gave it to me after Kris died. Sending love your way and comforted in the knowledge she is “back home” again.

- Karen Corlett McCammon, Miami, Fl

So many happy memories of Annette’s joyful spirit, her warmth, and her abiding faith! She is the last of my parent’s Hound Ears dear friends to pass on, and I treasure the past 20 years that we were able to share good memories. Sending love to all her family, Betsy

I was so sorry to hear of Annette's passing. I have such wonderful memories of this beautiful sweet lady and sleep overs at the Granada house! I know my parents enjoyed their friendships with both Annette and Jim. I just found a bunch of old photo's from a bridal shower Annette and Claudia held for me in 1977! Memories are such wonderful things! Sending prayers and sympathy to the entire Billings family but especially to my dear old friend Claudia.

The Billings family members have been special friends of the Shrader family for years....all of us kids grew up together in MIami/Coral Gables FL and she was one of my mom, Janet's, most special friends. Annette wrote me the most wonderful letter after my husband passed suddenly in 2001....I still have it. I was so touched that she took the time to write such a detailed personal letter, providing me with so much encouragement when it was most needed. That was who she was! I remember once in the mid 90s when my boys (8 and 10 at the time) and I were visiting my parents in Hound Ears, where Annette had a home also. Annette had found a hummingbird and was showing it to my boys. My youngest reached out to touch it (probably a little excitedly!) and Annette in her sweet manner said: Be careful, Trevor, hummingbirds are very small and delicate. Awww.....she just was a wonderful Godly woman. I treasure the two times I spoke with her after my mom died last yr. We lost a great lady, but oh, what wonderful lessons and memories she left for us all! Prayers and hugs for Anne, Claudia, Emily and their families and the Hartley family also.....we were so blessed to have known her!

Dear Family of Annette, I am sad to learn about Annette’s passing to be with the Lord. She is a special friend and our daughters Susan and Anne attended Coral Gables High School and Granada Presbyterian together for many years. Annette and Anne were gracious to host a baby shower for Susan who had waited 12 years to have a child with her husband Andy. She was always so positive and looking out for others. Annette raised three beautiful daughters who have blessed her with so many grandchildren and great grandchildren to carry forward her impact for The Lord. Our hearts and prayers for a blessed celebration of Annette’s life. Love in Christ, Bunny Mathisen

What a beautiful, elegant Lady and Servant of God. Lovely on the outside and a lovely heart inside. My Aunt Janet Shrader told me so many wonderful stories of her adventures and friendship with Annette. Aunt Janet always spoke with admiration of Annette's faithful witness. May God hold her very special family extra close and eventually dry your tears with the comfort of wonderful memories. Peggy Kniskern Wilson

We are sad to hear about Annette’s passing and rejoicing also that she is with our beloved Lord Jesus. As Chi Omega sisters in college, there are so many wonderful memories over the many years. She was loved and admired by everyone.....we send our love and deepest sympathy to all of you. “Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” 2 Peter 1:2

Deepest condolences to the entire family for your loss. Annette, or “Nettsie” as Jim so affectionately called her, moved through life with grace, elan and southern charm. She treated me like family and was a wonderful role model by exuding love and modeling what living a purposeful life looks like. My heart goes out to her family.

Dear Anne, Claudia, and Emily, Although I am late in finding this news of your mother passing away, I still would like to send my condolences and prayers. I was Zoom-ing just now with five other girlfriends from growing up in the Gables and Granada, and we reminisced about your mother and all our blessed memories as one of the last of our Granada moms goes on to her heavenly home. We (Denise, Judy, Trudy, Lyle, Priscilla, and I) remember all the Billings at this time with love. Karen
