My heart is so heavy that my dear friend is gone but so happy that she is pain free and sporting her angel wings and shiny halo! She was truly one of a kind! Funny serious poetic jokester teacher and a heart bigger than the universe! She never failed to tell us that she loved us! I already miss her so much but will always remember her and her wild tales!!!

May the good Lord wrap His loving arms around Elaine's family and friends during this time of sorrow. May He give all of us peace and comfort as we treasure the memories of this very inspirational woman who was larger than life. May we be so lucky to have even a part of the faith that Elaine possessed in her journey here on Earth. She will be greatly missed, but she will be in all of our hearts, for she has touched each and every one of us in her own special way.

Jim and Patrick, I share with you so many fond memories of Elaine .Knowing her, her mother and sister for so many years I felt part of your extended family. Elaine faced her crisis with such courage. She had a conviction that she would win her battle.. Jim and Patrick, I am sorry I can not be beside you at the celebration of her life, but will always have her in my fondest memories. With sadness but also joy in her heavenly life, she leaves a dear legacy in both Jim and Patrick. Fondly--Gerald Benson

It was with great sadness that I read of Elaine’s passing. I have many memories of my time as a first time principal, working with Elaine. I know how she struggled with many of my decisions in the beginning, but I always knew that whatever actions she took or words she spoke, that she did so with the best interest of your son and the students at heart. I had tremendous admiration for Elaine. She was an extraordinary teacher. I never walked into her classroom to find anything but the best instruction taking place. I could always depend on her calm demeanor, and positive attitude. I also knew that if something was asked of her it would be done and done well. She was truly a gift to all of the children she taught. May God be with you and comfort you in your loss and may you always feel her presence with you and feel comfort knowing she is in a better place.

Even though Elaine's ky family is so far you are in our prayers and constant thoughts through these days. Even as a little girl Elaine was always finding ways to make life easier for each of her family members. She was certainly one of God's angels. She lived life to the fullest and did God's work daily. Heaven is joyful to have her home now. She has left a legacy that is a challenge for us to follow, yet we must try. That's what she would want.

Jim, I first met Elaine last year in the halls of Coastal Middle School. She was bubbly, outgoing and struck up a conversation as though we had known each other for years. She was a firecracker and she made a lasting impression on me. I know she will be missed by all that knew her. All my love goes out to you and your family.

Mrs. Glenn was one of the greatest teachers I had in school, she went beyond the limits of teaching. She encouraged, lead by example and pushed me to my limits. She encouraged me to pursue my medical career. She will be missed but not forgotten. I’ll be praying for you.

So sad to hear of Elaine’s passing. We all thought so much of her. She was so sweet, kind and helpful. So many memories of the camp outs with the cub scouts. We were so grateful for her helping Max at coastal middle school. She was a great person to know and a wonderful wife mother and teacher. The world needs more people like Elaine in it.
