David Peter Lowell

David Peter Lowell

David Peter Lowell, husband of Dawn Caraccio Lowell and father of five, died on Wednesday, April 1, in Savannah, GA.  He was 80.  Mr. Lowell was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who shared his love of life with all those around him, known for his constant smile.  Mr. Lowell was born in Brooklyn, NY, and was a graduate of St. John’s University.  He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.  He enjoyed a successful career in the field of Information Technology, and worked for several Wall St. Investment Banks during his career, and served a term as the President of the Data Processing Division of Wall Street.

He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Mahopac Golf Club in Mahopac, NY, where he served a term on the Board of Directors.  Mr. Lowell had a love for downhill skiing and spent much time at his second residence in Killington, VT, where he also served as President of his Condo Association.  Dave and Dawn retired to Savannah in 2009 where they continued their love of travelling and golf.  

His rich and full life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children and their spouses:  David M. Lowell (Pamela), Anne C. Pace (Daniel), Russell G. Lowell (Linda), Steven M. Lowell (Wendy), Victor J. Lowell (Michelle).  Mr. Lowell leaves 6 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren, as well as 2 brothers and a sister.

Services for Mr. Lowell are pending. 

Contributions are suggested to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 11500 Middleground Road, Savannah, GA 31419.
