JAMES HENRY MCKENNA, Jr.
James Henry McKenna, Jr., age 79, died at his residence on Saturday, April 22, 2006.
A Savannah native, Mr. McKenna was the son of the late James Henry McKenna and Marie VonKamp McKenna. He attended the Marist School for Boys in Savannah and Portsmouth Priory in New England. He was a graduate of Yale College in New Haven, Connecticut before moving to New York City where he briefly worked in the advertising industry. He served in the US Army and later moved back to Savannah where he worked in the family business, McKenna Supply Company, for the remainder of his career. He was a communicant of The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, and a member of the Hibernian Society of Savannah.
SURVIVORS: a brother, William B. McKenna of Savannah, his Godchildren, Brian P. Griffin and Jane Griffin Mullino of Savannah, and many close friends.
Visitation 5-6 PM; Rosary 6 PM, Wednesday, April 26 at Fox & Week Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Private internment.
