Betty Jackson Freeman Ellis, 81 died at her home on Tuesday, April 25. She was a lifelong resident of Savannah and a former member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles, Womens's Auxilary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Joe "Cocky" Ellis.
Surviving are her brother Benjamin Pope Freeman of California, daughters Patsy E. Meadows and Betty E. White of Savannah, son William C. Ellis of Richmond Hill, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
