William Francis Marlowe, age 106, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center. The Augusta, GA native had lived in Savannah for most of his life. He retired as a captain on the Savannah Police Department in 1960. He was a United States Navy veteran, a member of the VFW, a member of Calvary Baptist Temple and was a Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madelyn Rocker Marlowe and his daughter, June Aimar.
Surviving are his daughters, Mary Wallace and Patricia Bouchillon, both of Savannah and Marjorie Walker of Brunswick; grandchildren, Thomas M. Aimar, Ronald Wallace, Edward Wallace, Kay Mauro, Rene Dotson, Sandra Davis and Ricky Rushing; and a number of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
