Henry Richard Dzielinski, 94, died Saturday, September 30, 2006 at his residence under the care of Hospice Savannah. He was a native of Port Washington, New York and had lived in Savannah for the past thirty years. He owned and operated the Epicure Market, was a member of the Polish American Society, and was an Auxillary Policeman in Port Washington, New York. He was a member of the Coastal Woodworkers Association and was a woodworking craftsman. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and served on the usher board.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Freda G. Dzielinski, of Savannah, one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bob Coman, of Savannah, one step-son and his wife, Henry and Marian Groover, of Savannah, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He also had two daughters who preceded him in death, Diane Morrissey and Gail Dzielinski.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2006 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2006 in the Islands Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors with Pastor Peter Hartmann officiating.
Burial will be in Port Washington, New York.
