Margie Smith-Bryant, 72, died Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital.
The Estill, SC native was a longtime resident of Savannah. She attended and graduated from Estill schools. Margie was an active and longtime member of First Mount Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She was a devoted and loving mother and a homemaker.
Margie was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Ernestine Smith; her husbands, Douglas Bryant and Ronald Harrison; and her grandson, Christopher Brown.
Surviving are Margie’s five children, Charles Smith, and Shondea and Alphonse Bryant (Debra), all of Savannah; Lonvondee Stallings (Manuel) of Newport News, VA; and Douglas “Apple” Bryant of Savannah; her brother, George Russell of Charleston, SC; her sister, Mary Washington of Savannah; her grandchildren, LaSasha Gouldborne, Alainna and Nyla Stallings, and Rashad Graham; her step-grandchildren, Jermaine Rivers and Dwan Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will all miss her.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A celebration of Margie’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at First Mount Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Smith, Sr. officiating.
