Savannah - Joseph Alan Quinan passed into eternal life on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
He was born in Savannah on June 24, 1959 and graduated from Benedictine Military School and Armstrong Atlantic State University. He was a member of the Shenanigans Society, Irish Heritage Society, Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, Knights of Columbus 4th degree, St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, and a 16 year member of the Adjutants Staff, helping to coordinate the Flags of Ireland. He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anna; his parents Judy Carter Quinan and William J. Quinan III: sons Adam and Andrew ; sister, Nancy Quinan Farringer Darrell and nephews James and Ron.
The family will receive friends on Thursday October 26th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, with a Rosary Service at 7:30 pm.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Fox & Weeks Hodgson Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to the Kidney Foundation at the Mayo Clinic Transplant Center, Jacksonville, FL.
