MARY ALICE PERRY ANDERSON

Mrs. Mary Alice Anderson, 88, died Monday, November 6, 2006, at Savannah Cottage under Hospice care.

Born in Toombs County, Georgia, on May 9, 1918, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of the late Alice and Rufus Perry. She was preceded in death by Wilbur Anderson, her husband of fifty-seven years. She retired from the Bag Division of Union Bag-Camp Paper Corp.in 1971. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and John Davis of Savannah, Elaine and Al Driggers of Montgomery, Ala. and Regina and Paul Brunson of Savannah;
grandchildren Glenn Sanders of Dallas, Ga., Miles Sanders DeeAnn and Lance Sanders T’Lene of Ridgeland, SC, Reid Sanders Julie of Batesburg, SC, John Driggers Suzanne of Wetumpka, Ala., Andrea Houston of Millbrook, Ala., Traci Mark Shreck, Brian Elise Bowen, and Randy Brunson of Savannah, and Nick Jennifer Brunson of Lexington, SC; thirteen great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 6pm to 8pm at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel. Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dan Pegram. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at Hardens Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Johnsons Corner, Ga.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Spanish Oaks Hospice, Inc., 8510 Whitfield Ave., Savannah, Ga 31406, or the perpetual care fund of the cemetery at Hardens Chapel Cemetery, Inc., c/o Mr. Jerome Toole, 1830 Ga. Hwy 135, Vidalia, GA 30474.
