Herbert Wayne Roberts
H. Wayne Roberts, 69, died Monday, November 27, 2006 at Candler Hospital after a short illness. Born in Lilly, Georgia, the son of H. Bivins Roberts and Janelle Beavers Roberts. He was a sales representative for DICOA. Later he was co-owner of Advanced Machined Parts and a part-time drive for Enterprise Rent-a-car. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Bull Street Baptist Church where he was also a member of the Ralph Thomas Sunday School class.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patricia Allen Roberts, of Savannah, two sons, Michael Wayne Roberts, of Savannah, and Mark Allen Roberts and his wife Caroline, of Douglas, Georgia. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Ivy Catherine and Michael Wayne.
Graveside services will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, with Rev. Earnie Pirkle and Rev. Bill Gardner, officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Ralph Thomas Sunday School Class.
