Bette Sinclair Clarke
Savannah- Bette Sinclair Clarke 82, died Monday, January 8, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mrs. Clarke was a native and life long resident of Savannah. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and the Savannah Golf Club. Mrs. Clarke was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Gilbert Clarke Sr.
Surviving are, her daughter, Barbara Clarke Jones Peter of Spanish Fort, Alabama, her son, Eugene Gilbert Clarke Jr. Sharon, of Rincon, four grandchildren, Screven Jones of Jacksonville, FL, Wylly Sinclair Jones of Lawrenceville, Elisabeth Ann Clarke of Rincon, Catherine Clarke Hardy John of Waycross, one great grandson, Devin of Rincon, one great-granddaughter, Lilli of Jacksonville and her sister, Martha S. Ray of Savannah.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 14, 2007 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Services will be Monday, January 15, 2007 at 11 a.m. in Laurel Grove Cemetery.

Dear Clarke Family, Please accept my deepest condolences. Bette was such a lovely lady. I have multiple fractures of my right foot and will be unable to come to services to pay my respects, but you are in my thoughts and prayers. Some of my Mother's happiest times were spent with Bette.
