George G. “Jerry” Young
Savannah, GA- George G. “Jerry” Young, age 79, died Friday, January 26, 2007, at his home. The Corning, NY native attended school and lived for most of his life in Cleveland, OH, where he operated a jewelry store for many years. In 1974 Mr. Young moved to Brunswick, GA where he opened and operated a Hallmark Card Shop until moving to Savannah in 1983. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Cetinich Young.
Surviving are six children, Patricia Sidebotham and her husband, Thomas, of Savannah, Kathleen Morris of Sebastian, FL, James Young and his wife, Denise, of Darien, GA, Robert Young and his wife, JoEllen, of LaGrange, OH, Linda Niedziela of Sebastian, FL and David Young and his wife, Shari, of Brunswick; nine grandchildren, Kevin Griffith, Michael Young, Daniel Young, Steven Giles, Brian Giles, Daniel Niedziela, Noah Niedziela, Ginger Young and Brooke Young.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with The Rev. Patrick O’Brien officiating.
Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
