Wiley H. Howell

Wiley Henry Howell, 58, died Monday, January 29, 2007 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. He was a native of Blackshear, Ga. and was of the Baptist faith. He retired from the United States Navy after twenty years of service and was a Past Commander of the American Legion Post #36. He was also retired from the Savannah–Hilton Head International Airport.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria S. Howell, of Savannah, daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Robert Holland, of Charlotte, N.C., three grandchildren, Skylar, Maci, and R.J., all of Charlotte, N.C., one brother, Wayne, of Ft. Payne, Alabama, and one sister, Amelia, of Austin, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with a service at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel.

Burial will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2007 in the High Bluff Cemetery in Waycross, Georgia.
