Betty J. Dixon
1926-2007

Tybee Island- Betty J. Dixon died Monday, January 29, 2007 at Hospice Savannah after a long illness.

Ms. Dixon is survived by her companion of 23 years, Fred Griesbach of Tybee Island; two sons, David Beaver of Savannah and Daniel Beaver of Cape Girardeau, MO; daughter, Leah Beaver Becker of Laguna Beach, CA; grandson, Hunter Beaver of Savannah; four sisters, Elizabeth Meyer of Tybee Island, Mildred Evans of McIntosh County, Willie Steele of Hinesville, Catherine Cato of Augusta and one brother, Bill Jones of Augusta.

A memorial service has been planned for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Islands Christian Church with Reverend James Jones officiating. A visitation will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Meyer Residence at 301 8th Street, Tybee Island.
