Margaret Elizabeth Wood
Savannah, GA- Margaret Elizabeth Wood, 92, died peacefully at Oceanside Nursing Home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 14, 2007. She was born in Savannah, Georgia but lived most of her life on Tybee Island. She was a long-time resident of Oceanside Nursing Home, having been cared for attentively and lovingly by all there. She was employed for a short period of time in the shipping industry and was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church. Miss Wood was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and T.S. Wood, Sr., her three brothers, Gilbert, Fred, and Tommy, Jr, and her nephew Tommy, III.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Margaret Wood of Tybee Island and Vera Wood of Savannah, as well as several nieces and their children.
Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park, 1600 Wheaton Street, on Saturday, February 17 at 2:00 pm.
