I've known Eleanor for the last decade through Mensa in which she initiated our dining group, Bon Vivant. Each April she opened her lovely home to a group of us who participated in Culture Quest, a Mensa trivia test that makes most of us wonder how we got into Mensa in the first place. As a lifelong beach lover, I was amazed to learn Eleanor had painted the wonderful artwork decorating her walls. She will be missed.

To our dear 'Gooding' family...I am so sad to not be able to be there with you all. Of one thing I am sure...L'edna, Eleanor, Jim and Hagood are all embracing the Homecoming of our dear Eleanor. Memories of many 'Gooding' moments through the years flood my mind from a family that treated me as a genuine and beloved 'Gooding'. Eleanor's laughter was contagious and only to be topped by her cousin Jimmy's as they shared the same familiar stories over and over again and into the wee hours always ending with how blessed they were to be born pure 'Goodings'! We will so miss you, Eleanor. May your stories and memory live on and comfort those who loved and knew you for the time left and until you all meet again. Our sincere love , Jimmy and Gaye

We are so sad to lose such a dear friend of so many years. We will always remember her generous nature, her unbounded talents, and her all-encompassing intelligence. A special memory is the trip we took to Atlanta to buy my wedding dress. Her advice was always honest and helpful.
