Lionel A. Lee Tardif

Lionel A. Lee Tardif, 76, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at his residence.

Mr. Tardif was a native of Jay, Maine and had lived in Savannah since 1965. He retired from the United States Army after twenty years of service and continued working Civil Service at Hunter for twenty years. He was a longtime member of the VFW and the American Legion. His wife, Elizabeth Strickland Tardif, preceded him in death.

Survivors include four stepsons, Theo Strickland of California, Ronnie Strickland of Richmond Hill, Billy Strickland of California and John Strickland of Oregon; two nieces, Lorraine Boucher of Florida and Jeanine Chick of Arizona; one cousin, Julie Whitcomb of Maine; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 18, 2007 in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
