Savannah-Adelia Boland Solovieff, 88, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. Born in Chicago, Illinois, December 7, 1918, Adelia was a graduate of Mount Mary College. A resident of Savannah at the Rose of Sharon since 1981, she was an active volunteer. Adelia loved the arts, history, and watching EWTN. A devout Catholic, she was a member of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Boland.
Survivors include five children; Maggie Smith Rick of Savannah, Tina Solovieff of Berkeley, CA, Elizabeth Hamer Fred of Baltimore, MD, Tom Kelly Solovieff of Annapolis, MD and Tim McQuaid of Savannah; six grandchildren, Tim Smith, Theresa Terry Smith Lambert, Ryan Smith, Katie Mike Solovieff Daffin, Samantha Solovieff and Daniel McQuiad, three great grandchildren, Christopher, John Patrick and Michael Lambert; sister, Grace Sullivan of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Rosemary Boland of Chicago, and a host of relatives and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
