Frances Greene Ligneel, age 81, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Hospice House. The native and lifelong resident of Savannah was a 1947 graduate of the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. She touched many patients with her kind and compassionate care. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-nine years, Morris E. “Bugzy” Ligneel, and her parents, James T. and Cilloustine Sasser Greene.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Ligneel; granddaughters, Heather and Lily; former son-in-law, Tom; cousins, Cindy and Henry Burgstiner; her special friend, Harry Walsh; and several cousins and other relatives as well as numerous friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2007at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held , Friday, May 11, 2007 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
