Terry R. Hunter

Savannah, GA - Terry R. Hunter, 58, died Friday, May 18, 2007 at Candler Hospital.
Terry was born June 21, 1948 in Lancaster, South Carolina to the late Ronnie and Pearley Hunter. He served over twenty years in the United States Army before retiring from the 92nd Engineering Battalion on Fort Stewart. He served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded numerous honors including the Purple Heart, the Air Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal. After retirement, he was employed with M.C. Anderson Construction, Coastal Grading and APAC before becoming self employed. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Eve Hunter of Savannah; daughter and son-in-law, DeeDee and Michael Adams of Lexington, SC; three brothers Carlton Hunter of Gilbert, SC, Roger Hunter of Columbia, SC and Gary Hunter of Lexington, SC; one sister, Candy Albers of Columbia, SC; stepdaughter, Roxanne Downs of Norfolk, VA; granddaughter, Shannon Downs of Savannah; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Davis of Savannah; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; Dottie Hunter, mother of daughter DeeDee and faithful friend and confidant, Carl Pittman of Rincon.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Interment will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
