MARTHA L. ERNSKE

Martha L. Ernske, 92, died Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Memorial Health
University Medical Center. She was born in New Rochelle, New York
and lived most of her life in New Jersey. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Philip Andrew Ernske in 1974.


Prior to moving to Savannah in 1993, Mrs. Ernske was a homemaker and Deacon in the First Presbyterian Church in Clifton, New Jersey. She was a member of the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and a volunteer at Safe Shelter.

She is survived by her sister, Harriet Lefkoff and daughter, Phyllis Albertson
of Savannah; a grandson, Timothy Albertson of Victor, Idaho, a granddaughter, Hilary Geha Oliver of Savannah and 4 great-grandchildren – Andrew, Jared, Sam and Madeline Geha also of Savannah. The family wishes to thank Priscila Collins and her team of wonderful caregivers who gave great comfort and aid to “Mrs. Martha” in her final weeks.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 2:00 in the Sanctuary at the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church Music Program, the Village Library or Safe Shelter.
