Marie Y. Beard

Lake City, FL - Lorena Marie Young Beard, age 84, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, in Lake City, FL. A native of West Virginia, Mrs. Beard was a former resident of Savannah where she operated Jay’s Market along with her late husband. She retired to Lake City in 1996. Mrs. Beard was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Harris Beard, her son, Robert Earl Young, and her daughter, Sharon Rose Lyons.
Surviving are three sisters, Ruth Ludwick and Rose Ludwick, both of Chino, AZ; Ruby and Roy Frame of Haymarket, VA; a brother, William Russell and Patricia Ann Ludwick of Melbourne, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
