She will ever be remembered for her radiant smile, her gentle spirit and her loving heart.

Melissa Blaine Coleman Bunton

Melissa Blaine Coleman Bunton, 29, passed away Monday October 8, 2018.

Blaine was born in Savannah, GA on March 24, 1989.  She was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Peter the Apostle School, St. Vincent’s Academy, Georgia Southern University and graduated with a BSN from the College of Coastal Georgia.  Blaine was employed by Memorial Health as a Registered Nurse.

Blaine spent her childhood on the local waterways surrounding Talahi Island enjoying riding jet skis, boating and eating crabs on the dock.  Blaine was active in many sports, her favorites being softball and competitive cheerleading.  Blaine loved animals and photography.  Blaine and her husband Michael were part of the racing community and traveled throughout the Southeast enjoying the sport.    Blaine touched many lives in her short time with us.   She will be forever remembered for her radiant smile, her gentle spirit and her loving heart.

Blaine is survived by her devoted husband, Michael J. Bunton and her beloved dogs, Gunner and Slash.  She is also survived by her parents, Bruce and Susan Coleman, her sister, Brittany Feus (Karl), nephews, Wolfgang and Weiland Feus, grandmothers, Martha S. Buttimer and Marie K. Coleman, in-laws, Jerry and Jenny Bunton, sisters-in-law, Christy Bunton (Corbin), niece, Evy and nephew, Jerry Wardlaw, and Brooke Bunton and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m on Monday October 15, 2018 with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel, 4605 US Highway 80E, Savannah, GA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Humane Society for Greater Savannah, 7215 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, GA  31406 or Hospice Savannah Foundation, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA  31416.

Blaine was such a special childhood friend of mine. I had the best time playing with her after school. I would always leave Ms. Kay's and go to her house after school. We had the best times just playing on aol aim chatting to friends or doing pranks on people. She was so much fun to be around. I regret so much that we lost touch. My thoughts and prayers are with this family today and every day. She will not be forgetten. Her memories will live in my heart forever. Until we meet again. Rest easy Blainey!

I worked at memorial and worked with her last Saturday. We Talked about our dogs as I have a dachshund also. She was so sweet and we had a good day together.
